It’s been a busy and rewarding few weeks for conservation education!
🌿The Siyabathanda Obhejane (We Love Rhinos) conservation campaign reached Grade 4 learners at Somkhanda schools – reminding students and their communities that nature needs our care, respect and protection. Thank you to Wildlife ACT - Focused Conservation for coordinating this important initiative.
🦏 Project Rhino also partnered with The Babanango Foundation to reach more than 4,400 learners across 11 schools. Our conservation education murals sparked much curiosity about the behaviour of wildlife and meaningful discussions around conserving it.
🎨 Rhino Art judging went well at the Hlabisa schools under Rhino Ridge.
Thank you to The Isibindi Foundation team, especially Luke Martin and the Isibindi Management team, for their support with fuel and prizes.
Thank you also to Rexx Screen and Digital Supplies (Pty) Ltd for the beautiful T-shirts. Sixty learners from 12 schools who won the Rhino Art competition will have the opportunity to experience wildlife firsthand through our collaborative efforts to educate children about conservation.
