Project Rhino's Education and Outreach programmes connect youth, schools and wildlife communities with conservation in practical and memorable ways. Through art, recreation, reserve visits, leadership workshops and international youth platforms, the programme helps people understand the value of protected areas and the wildlife they safeguard.

Each programme creates a different entry point into conservation, from school-based art campaigns to leadership development and reserve experiences.
Rhino ART: Youth Conservation Education
Launched in 2013 in partnership with the Kingsley Holgate Foundation, Rhino ART uses art, recreation and theatre to inspire conservation awareness among young people. Soccer tournaments are also used to bring communities together while facilitators continue the conservation conversation.
Future Rhino
Future Rhino empowers schools across KwaZulu-Natal to take a visible stand for rhino conservation. Schools decorate life-size rhino wire frames and create conservation messages that can be displayed at schools, fundraising events or by corporate partners.
Community Leadership Workshops
Community leaders from areas surrounding game reserves are hosted for workshops that explain how reserves function, the challenges they face and the role protected areas play in sustainability and conservation.
Youth Camps and Visits
Partner reserves and NGOs bring youth into reserves to experience nature first-hand. Activities can include day visits, game drives, overnight camps, wilderness trails and conservation learning experiences.
World Youth Wildlife Summit
The World Youth Wildlife Summit gives young leaders a platform to engage with conservation issues at a wider level. Previous events have brought together youth, teachers, experts and keynote speakers from Africa, Asia and the Global North.
