An accountable channel for conservation funding
Project Rhino provides the general public and donor communities with an accountable funding channel that delivers donor funds directly to bona-fide and approved anti-poaching strategies in KwaZulu-Natal.
Managed by a small administrative team, funds are sourced from individuals, private trusts and foundations, international donor bodies and brand-sharing agreements with major corporate companies. NGO partners also contribute to key projects, and Project Rhino members meet every two months to review income and expenditure and collectively decide which anti-poaching needs require further support.
Donor reporting includes: individual letters of acknowledgement, Section 18A donation certificates, annual project reports, one-on-one meetings and public acknowledgement through Project Rhino's social media platforms.

The platform helps prevent duplication, keeps members aligned and makes sure donor resources are directed where they can have practical impact.

The organisation continually works to grow public awareness and maintain interest in the rhino poaching crisis, while keeping a balanced and objective approach on contentious issues.
